Do us all a favor and

Try using the original chord progressions, because I notice the left hand piano does the same chord throughout the whole song. Give it a listen. If it doesn't sound better, then ignore my comment, but I think using the complete progression would really help this song.

Other than that, the ambience and piano melodies sound marvelous.

Excellent

The drums sound great, and the bass sounds good except when it plays some of the higher notes. Its amazing what you can do with a simple repeated melody when you have drums that sound that good. Perhaps a little bit repetitive and the bass sounds off in some parts, but fantastic none the less.

Why is this stuff always in the weekly top 5

Its not bad, its not horrible. Its just generic, moderately well mastered, newgrounds fodder. I'd much rather see some more original melodies and experimentation show up in the top 5, but it seems like its always the same old dance/trance/sweeping sound effect stuff.

I'll take a poorly mastered song that has some uniqueness in its melody and beats over a well mastered song that recycles the same old "by the books" trance melodies and chords.

Great Stuff...but

It sounds an awful lot like DJ Sammy's "Heaven" remix, seems like the chords and some parts of the song are borrowed from this song. Just listen for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuBmiu 68ECU.

Other than originally issues, and Newgrounds tending to favor Trance, a Smashing good song here.

Newgrounds doesn't favor trance...a lot of people who dont listen to trance even liked this song. Trust me, if i hear a good song i dont care what genre it is, if it can catch my eears and make me enjoy it, then i like it. Its not favored its just that the trance music making dj's are good? Ever thought of that?

And about Dj Sammy, my song sounds nothing like that... o.o. Tell me what seconds of sammy's song sounds like mine... I didnt even think about that song one second when making my song. Thats two totally different songs, and its not my fault my song sounds like Sammy's. Dont just give a 7 because it sounds like other songs, i've heard so many more songs that sound like other songs that still were great, and original. So what if the notes sound the same or something, as long as they didnt steal the melody and stuff.

Bad Choice of Instruments

The notes themselves seem fine, but some of the instruments are jarring, and seem out of place. The synths are rather simplistic as well, you could use reverb and delay to make them sound better. Also there is too much empty space in certain places.

Trance with Rap Vocals

Although i really hate most rap, this song does a good job combining rap vocals with an amazing trance song. Trance with these vocals is a daring genre cross, and it sounds great.

Amazing!

This is absolutely amazing. The the way those complex synth and pad patterns work together creates an amazing atmosphere. The drums are fast and intense, but not so loud as to intrude on the amazing melodies. The song suits the vocals amazingly well as well. Fabulous!

I really tried with working with someone else's lyrics.
He wasn't even really singing. It's like singing in the shower kinda
But I made it work, and turned something that would ordinarily be laughed at into something serious.

This is an great song because the drums are very creative and experimental, and the song sounds very good, if simple. It deserves better/more attention from newgrounds.
